Every successful organisation has someone who makes sure everything behind the scenes works as it should. At the WSTA, that’s Gemma.
As the longest serving member of the WSTA team Gemma’s knowledge of the inner workings of our trade body are unrivalled. Her skills cut across identifying where support is needed, expertise across finance, HR, governance and business operations, making her an integral part of the WSTA’s leadership team.
If she were a drink, what would she be?
A tequila. A truly impressive drink, you know when you’ve had a shot and you might even find a (book)worm at the end of the bottle.
Not always in the spotlight, Gemma’s work gives members confidence that the organisation representing them is professionally managed, financially sound and equipped to deliver on their behalf. Gemma looks after the WSTA coffers, keeps the wheels turning and makes sure everyone has the structure and resources they need to succeed.
Working alongside a dedicated team across membership, events and systems, she oversees the operational foundations of the WSTA, ensuring it has the people, processes and resources to champion members’ interests and deliver on their priorities.
Think of her as your Agatha from Minority Report, gifted in her vision and memory. If she’s not plugged in, it could bring down the Matrix!
