»Date: 25th February 2026, 12:00 pm
»Venue: Zoom
From the start of the 2026/27 financial year, a new system of business rates multipliers (and new rateable values) will jointly take effect. With the window for challenging valuations closing on 31st March, the WSTA has partnered with Colliers to host a lunchtime webinar for members on what the changes could mean for your business.
This session will outline where there might be opportunities to review or challenge your current rating assessment, and reduce your rates. Colliers’ specialist team will highlight the key areas businesses should consider before 31 March and what to be aware of from 1 April under the new rating list.
From property alterations and storage space, to changes in use or operational capacity, there are a number of factors that can influence rateable values and potential eligibility for reliefs. This session will help you understand what is worth reviewing and when specialist advice may be appropriate.
Join WSTA and Colliers for a concise, practical update covering:
- how business rates are calculated and applied
- common triggers that can affect rateable value, reliefs or exemptions
- what the 2026 Rating List introduces and what to watch from 1 April
A useful opportunity to sense-check your position ahead of the 31 March deadline and understand whether any action is needed.
