Your business or supply chain may be affected by different types of fraud. That’s why we have partnered with National Business Crime Solution (NBCS).

One of the challenges in helping members mitigate the threat of fraud is enabling individuals within business to report actual or suspected fraud at the time they see it. Previous attempts at sharing or gathering information have only had limited success. The WSTA is not resourced to act as an intelligence hub.

We have therefore partnered with National Business Crime Solution (NBCS), which offers services to business to gather information about frauds, analyse that and then work with law enforcement agencies to develop suitable cases. It’s also able to put disparate bits of information together and paint a richer picture. Several WSTA members already participate in NBCS, as part of a store-based loss prevention programme, for example.

NBCS are also able to offer wider resources and a programme of updates for participants.

NBCS has developed a workflow for alcohol fraud cases and incorporated this in its existing app. The app is aimed at those who might be in an operational position to spot fraud, such as logistics and compliance teams, sales teams, IP and branding teams and loss prevention specialists.

Join us at our launch event on 28 June at 2pm at the WSTA Offices in London Bridge, where Peter Fisher and Martin Gregg from the NBCS will be in attendance, to explain how NBCS works and talk you through the app and workflow. They’ll also be able to answer any questions you have.
