Like most organisations the WSTA is watching and following the government’s regularly updated advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19), which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response.
We have also had sight of a more specific and very accessible briefing delivered by Southwark Council’s Emergency Planning and Public Health departments to businesses that are part of the London Bridge Business Improvement District on Friday 13th March, which may be interesting and useful for WSTA members – https://wsta.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/13th-March-COVID-19-Briefing-Notes.pdf
While it would not be appropriate to offer public health advice, the WSTA will be doing everything within its power to support members and the hospitality sector in dealing with the effects of COVID-19.
This page aims to summarise what we know that may be of use to members, as well as what we are already doing, often with others. It is also a call for information and feedback on what the priorities are for your businesses. What are you are finding most difficult or worrying, and what more could we do to support you and the UK industry more generally?
