Overview
Post Event

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) is pleased to invite you to Environment Day 2026 at Campari House, London, on Thursday, 24 September.

With the next 18 months set to be pivotal for sustainability policy, this year’s session feature’s key updates and expert insights, with expected speakers, including:

  • Exchange for Change: An overview of Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) developments across the UK.
  • UK Packaging PRO: Insights from the newly launched, industry-led scheme to manage dedicated to guiding Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
  • EU PPWR: A briefing on the EU’s newly launched Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Thank you to our Events sponsor: Hillebrand Gori.

WSTA Environment Day 2026 will explore these key policy changes and what they mean for the sector.

At Hillebrand Gori, we work closely with alcohol shippers to help them adapt to changing regulatory requirements through informed supply chain and packaging strategies. From optimising packaging and reducing unnecessary material use to supporting visibility across international logistics networks, we help businesses prepare for a more compliant future.

The EU’s new PPWR framework places greater emphasis on packaging minimisation, recyclability, documentation and producer responsibility, making collaboration across the supply chain increasingly important.

Our partnership with the WSTA enables us to support the UK drinks trade as it navigates this changing landscape. By sharing knowledge and practical expertise, we can help businesses respond confidently to new requirements while continuing to build more efficient and sustainable supply chains.
