Rooted in Burgundy and guided by a shared philosophy, Domaine Philippe Pocolet and Maison Réno embody two generations united by the same vision of wine: expressing terroir with honesty, and sensitivity. While each estate follows its own path, both are deeply connected through commitment to natural, low-intervention winemaking.
Established in Gevrey-Chambertin in 2001, Philippe Pacalet has become one of Burgundys most emblematic references for terroir-driven wines. The nephew of Marcel Lapierre, a pioneer of natural wine, Philippe Pacalet developed an early commitment to organic viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking.
His approach-based on indigenous yeasts, whole-cluster fermentation, no additives, and extremely low sulphur use-was considered revolutionary in Burgundy at the time and has since proven its relevance and consistency.
Pacalet selects mature vineyards and vinifies each parcel separately. His wines are acclaimed for their purity and energy, offering immediate pleasure while remarkable ageing potential.
Founded in 2023 by Réno Pacalet, Maison Réno represents the next generation of the family while asserting a distinct and personal voice. Réno refined his skills through international experiences, formal viticulture studies and close collaboration with his father.
Based in a shared winery in Chassagne-Montrachet, Maison Réno vinifies small volumes from carefully selected terroirs spanning the southern Côte de Beaune to the Côte Chalonnaise. The philosophy mirrors a deeply intuitive and natural approach.
Réno favors purity over artifice, sensitvity over technology, producing wines that are vibrant, precise, and deeply expressive of their origin.
