The many faces of Barossa Shiraz

February 17, 2022 @ 10:00 - 11:00

In this discussion, we will explore the people and personalities that make Barossa as a region so special and discover why their Shiraz is a benchmark for excellence the world over.

Home to some of the oldest continuously producing vines in the world, Barossa created the Old Vine Charter in 2009 to register these gnarly centenarians with the aim of preserving and recording them for posterity. But it’s not just the old and wrinkly that are making waves in the South Australian region.

In a conversation hosted by Mark Pygott MW, three bold and brilliant winemakers from the region will talk about their passions, experiences and why Barossa is so special – to them, and to their wines – illustrated by a selection of six Shiraz from the region.

This tasting and panel discussion is one of many CONNECT Conversations to feature on Australian Wine CONNECT – a dynamic, virtual platform bringing the global wine community together to build connections with hundreds of Australian wineries for powerful commercial outcomes. It is free-to-use for all wine trade wishing to extend their knowledge of, and business reach with Australia.
