We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive trade, press, and media tasting with winemaker Stef Yim, founder of Azienda Agricola Sciara.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in California, Stef’s journey in winemaking has taken him around the world before he settled on the slopes of Mount Etna. His vision is simple yet ambitious — to craft wines that truly capture the essence of Etna’s volcanic soils, high-altitude climate, and native grape varieties, all using respectful, low-intervention methods. With each wine, Stef aims to express the unique character and complexity of the land he calls home.

This tasting will feature the debut 2021 vintage of the 1520 wine, made from grapes grown in the highest planted vineyards in Europe. The vintage marks the first release of 1520, a wine that beautifully captures the power and elegance of Etna’s dramatic terroir — where steep slopes, volcanic soils, and sharp temperature shifts influence the vines. Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the 2022 and 2023 vintages. Additionally, we’ll be featuring the 1200 Metri wines – also sourced from Etna’s steep, high-altitude slopes, including the 2020, 2021, and 2022 vintages, offering a deeper insight into the exceptional wines of this region.
