RIEDEL MASTERCLASS WITH MAXIMILIAN RIEDEL

We are thrilled to announce that for the first time in 10 years, we have none other than Riedel’s CEO Maximilian Riedel himself, coming over from Austria to present a Riedel Masterclass at The Balmoral Hotel. 

This is promised to be an incredible tasting experience and evening.  It’s a unique chance to discover why these different glasses, designed for different styles of wines, have become so popular.  A true entertainer and character, Maximilian is 11th generation of the Riedel family to be managing this 264 year old company.  He will be speaking about how and why the different shape of glass makes a significant difference to the aroma and taste profile of a wine.  Using Riedel’s Performance Range, we’ll have the opportunity to experience this for ourselves, tasting wines ideal for each of the four classic glass styles and discover how they compare when served in the “wrong” glass.  It’s quite an eye opener which has continued to surprise many for many years.

Everyone attending will be given a set of four of the Performance Range Riedel glasses to take home which are worth £90.  Since tickets for the masterclass and this whole experience with Maximilian are available from £60 it’s cerrtainly well worth it.  The experience and glasses are bound to bring a whole new dimension to your wine enjoyment.

You are invited to arrive anytime 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start.  We will aim to finish at 8.30pm.  There will also be the opportunity to view a range of Riedel’s other glassware including their iconic decanters.
