Mastering Garnacha in Spain

Garnacha Tinta, or Grenache Noir, is an ancient black grape from Spain, though said to have been introduced to France during the Middle Ages. It is the fifth most planted variety in the world, predominantly grown in Spain and France and accounting for more than 87% of the total surface. But what makes Garnacha great again? Which are the most exciting wines from the ancestral Spanish origin of the variety?
Almudena Alberca MW, the first woman in Spain to receive the Master of Wine title, will be joined by two of the best Garnacha specialists and producers, Fernando Mora MW (Bodegas Frontonio) and Norrel Robertson MW (El Escocés Volante), for an exclusive masterclass as we explore these questions. The event will include a tasting of nine Grenache wines from Spain. the world.
The panel will present live from the 67 Pall Mall members club in London. There will also be an option to participate from the Singapore club. Details of how to attend the Singapore tasting will be available soon.
