Justin “Tyler” Willett is not only one of the finest, most deeply committed and truly exciting winemakers in the world right now, he is also genial company and he knows everyone – his friends and influences are a veritable “who’s who” of the best of Californian and Burgundian wine.
A “winemaker’s winemaker”, he is working with some of the finest vineyards in all California, specifically Sta. Rita Hills, whose terroir he knows obsessively. His first vintage was 2005 and since then his superb, Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays have become a reference for the newer wave of restrained, nuanced and elegant wines of the region.
