Join us at Gallery bar @ The Castlefield Rooms in Manchester on the 18th March for a deep dive into Bulgaria’s Thracian Lowlands whilst guided through 10 producers iconic wines!
Masterclass 2pm – 3.30pm
The ancient Thrace culture dates back over 6000 years and together with Dr Jamie Goode, we are taking a deep dive into how that has shaped Bulgaria’s viticultural landscape; discussing how the decades of tumultuous history, phylloxera, and state ownership affected the now thriving wine industry.
You’ll be guided through 10 iconic wines, including indigenous varieties such as; Mavrud, Rubin, Vrachanski Misket and Tamyanka, which are grown alongside the likes of Cabernet, Syrah and Sangiovese.
