Libération Tardive Foundation has partnered with Elizabeth Gabay MW to present a seated tasting with a panel of carefully chosen producers and invitees to take part in a debate on the relevance of rosé in the fine wine segment, addressing the question of whether rosé wine can age and what tertiary flavours are found in aged rosé. The event precedes Elizabeth Gabay MW’s Fine Rosé Day tasting at Trivet Restaurant in London and is part of Libération Tardive’s campaign for 10+Wine to demonstrate that “Great Wines Take Time”.
As a significant and growing sector of wine, relatively little attention (let alone homage) is paid among the top journals, writers and institutions. Join us to hear from producers of some of the world’s finest rosé wines, and consider the definition of what “fine” means in the context of rosé, how it can develop with bottle age, and whether it deserves a place in the fine wine sector.
Older vintages from a number of notable rosé producers with library stocks will be shown. The producers will be confirmed closer to the time of the event.
