Humble Grape Spring Portfolio Tasting

April 16 @ 10:00 - 16:00

Humble Grape invites you to join us for our Spring Trade Tasting event, giving you the opportunity to sample our extensive portfolio.

Experience sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines, all imported directly from winemakers from around the world. All wines that can be sampled at the tasting are exclusively imported by us, so cannot be tried anywhere else in the UK.

Drop-in anytime between 10am – 4pm, and try wines from around the world, transporting you from California to South Africa with a dash of everything in between.

A taste of what’s in store

Allimant-Laugner: Nicolas Laugner’s winery is a real family winery and has 12 generations of winemakers. They farm 12 hectares in Orschwiller, Northern Alsace, from which they make an incredible 15 different wines, so this is super boutique stuff. Their wines are all vegan, fermented in stainless steel using only natural yeast and cultivated in a sustainable manner.

Bartinney: With vines stretching up to 550m above sea level on steep slopes, everything has to be done by hand at the extremely eco-friendly Bartinney. Owner Rose Jordaan describes her wines as: wine made on a mountain, and that’s no exaggeration.

Vinyes Occults: An idea conceived as a garage winery in 2007, producing wines from their home in Mendoza. The response was so positive that they sold out their entire 400 litre production in only two months.

Château La Baronne: In the heart of Occitania, there is a wild, unspoilt land that contains its most beautiful secrets, the Corbières Massif. The Montagne d’Alaric is one of its treasures, one of its highest points. There, nestled in its foothills, in an extraordinary natural ecosystem, lies Château La Baronne.

Plaisir Wine Estate: situated on the foothills of Simonsberg Mountains, between Paarl and Franschhoek; the wines produced here are inspired by the harmony of a rich history, dating back to their Huguenot founder Charles Marais and a unique terroir.

Quinta de Saes: Álvaro Castro and his daughter Maria are widely acknowledged as being the leading producers in Portugal’s Dão region. Known as the Burgundy of Portugal, Dão doesn’t rely on power for its effect, but instead aims at subtlety and finesse, a cause helped by the good natural acidity of the grapes.

Weingut von Winning: From their intriguing (and award-winning) Rieslings to their groundbreaking Pinot Noirs, we love every wine and winemaker from this family-run estate. No herbicides, no synthetic fertilisers, no copper, no filtering and no fining. Every bottle is a winner.

Union Sacre: Winemaker, Xavier Aranudin, has really taken Union Sacre to a whole new level in recent harvests. Staying true to his vision to make some of the best Alsatian varietals in the central coast, he combines insanely cool packaging with viable price points. There are two levels of wines: distribution and reserve. Each has freshness, lip-licking fruit, precision, and balance.
