WSTA Sustainability and Supply Chain panel discussion London Wine Fair 2022

WSTA Chief Executive Miles Beale chaired a Sustainability and Supply Chain discussion with some fantastic insight from our expert panelists.

Sharing experiences of making their businesses more sustainable were Sarah Driver, co-founder at Rathfinny Wine Estate in Sussex. From the word go when she and her husband Mark set up their vineyard 10 years ago they have had a strong focus on sustainability. Also on the panel we’re Nick Taylor, Group Buying Director at Direct Wines, who spoke about the importance of collaboration and communicating internally to pull in one direction. And Fiacre O’Donnell Director of Sustainability at glass manufacturer Encirc who took the audience through their vision of achieving net zero through in partnership with the supply chain.

All agreed that that no business can solve these environmental issues alone and the journey to net zero can only be achieved by working together as a sector and supported by Government.
