Overview:

Johnson Distillers is looking for a Head of Rum, Sales Director who has strong network relationships in Spirits and experience in B2B / Wholesale Sales to join our team. The successful candidate will have their WSET Level 2 and at least 5 years direct experience selling spirits.

We are seeking professional, dynamic, passionate and entrepreneurial candidates with a proven track record in generating leads and closing business.

As the Head of Rum, you will be responsible for coming up with a sales strategy for rum, leaning on the CEO and others in order to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute a Rum sales strategy for Johnson Distillers, leaning on the CEO/Founder and others on the team to successfully drive results
– Identify and pursue new Rum business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting
– Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients/collectors/brokers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
– Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
– Meet or exceed sales targets
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify potential growth areas


Qualitifications

Qualifications: – Proven track record of success in a sales roles for spirits; rum/whisky sales experience a plus – WSET Level 2 Qualification required in Spirits or Wine – Excellent communication and negotiation skills – Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team – Ability to build and maintain strong client/collector/broker relationships – Ability to work under pressure and to hit targets
