Maisons Marques et Domaines UK Ltd is the wholly owned subsidiary of Champagne Louis Roederer, responsible for the sales and marketing, to all sectors of the UK market, of the group’s collection of brands and a wider portfolio of established premium family-owned wine agencies. It is recognised as one of the leading importers and distributors of fine wine in the UK market.

The Opportunity
To position ourselves for the next phase of business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Brand Manager to join our Marketing team. This is an opportunity to represent some of the most desirable and well-respected wineries. With proven successful experience in Brand Management and managing key stakeholders in a similar role, the successful candidate will manage a selection of wineries from the MMD portfolio, developing strategic plans to deliver budgeted volume and profit. This role requires a confident and adaptable person, who thrives in a dynamic environment and has strong commercial awareness. Ideally you will have WSET qualifications (Diploma preferred) and languages.

Key Responsibilities
• Development and implementation of annual brand plans in line with Principals’ UK strategies
o To develop, recommend, implement, and evaluate strategies to achieve key brand targets
• Management of Principals on a day-to-day basis
• Provide principals with a thorough understanding of the UK market and what each supplier needs to do to maximise potential in this market
• Monthly reporting and ongoing review of brand Key Performance Indicators
• Brand championship within MMD, maintaining the brands on the sales teams agendas
• Setting, monitoring & development of pricing, distribution & account promotional guidelines
• Ownership of volume & profit results, full P&L and A&P control, and reporting this upstream
o To create and monitor consumer & trade spend agreed within the budget
o Evaluate the effectiveness of such spend and provide feedback to the line manager with recommendations for any action
• Upkeep of brand information and competitor files
• Build relationships with journalists in the trade, consumer & lifestyle arenas
• To work closely with the Sales Team, effectively communicating key brand aims across multiple channels, and initiating activities and promotions to drive distribution and promote MMD
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills – builds productive working relationships at all levels within the business and externally
• Working closely with the logistics team on reserve and inventory management, and forward planning of promotions and offers to ensure adequate stock levels
• To brief, implement and drive external agencies, where appropriate
• Working closely with the Brand Management team on cross branded initiatives and events


• Minimum 3 years relevant Brand Management experience • Experience in managing key stakeholders with the ability to set and deliver strategic objectives • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills • Organised, able to plan ahead and good at multi-tasking • Wine knowledge and passion for the product • Good analytical skills • Strong negotiation skills • Self-motivated, results–driven, comfortable with managing budgets • Strong numerical, analytical and organisational competencies • Strong commercial knowledge • Event planning and ROI analysis • Flexibility required to work some evenings and weekends when necessary • WSET qualifications (Diploma or the desire to undertake the diploma) • Excel, word, and PowerPoint, Power BI • Responsive team player able to work collaboratively across departments • Languages such as French/ Italian would be advantageous but not essential
