SME Committee

The WSTA runs a number of committees established to review issues affecting the industry, set WSTA policy and support the campaigning work of the WSTA. Members are encouraged to interact closely with the WSTA through these committees.

SME Committee

Objective

To represent and champion the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within WSTA membership, ensuring their commercial, regulatory, and operational needs are understood and reflected in our workstreams.

Aim

The Committee will advise on how the WSTA can best deliver value to SMEs across its three core pillars — commercial benefits, campaigning, and Regulation and Compliance data/resources – by identifying practical cost-saving and growth opportunities, highlighting regulatory and trading challenges that disproportionately affect smaller businesses, and shaping relevant guidance, insight, and partnerships. The committee aims to have a broad representation across the SME ecosystem, including intermediaries and agencies operating within the supply chain, and foster collaboration to strengthen resilience, competitiveness, and sustainable growth within the sector.
